Mismatched hearts and mismatched shoes

She was one of those crazy girls
With colourful socks, mismatched shoes
Messy hair and unorthodox views
She captured my heart with every word
She danced around me
Like a frenzied bird
Ideas dribbled from her lips
She was her own person
Already unzipped
I shouldn’t have loved her
But I couldn’t resist
My heart was stolen
The first time we kissed
She threw her arms around my neck
She entered my life
And she left me a wreck.
